- What are you talking about?
- WPYP needs volunteer leaders. In the olden days, there was no staff people! So we volunteers (or ones like us anyway) had to do everything ourselves. WPYP leaders have a recognized student organization that coordinates volunteers, budgets, relations with U of C, our web site, and a much more. Please see the attached file "WPWP-LeadershipD.doc" for more details. PLEASE AT LEAST LOOK AT IT!
- Who can apply?
- ANYONE CAN APPLY! Whether you have been tutoring for 1 month or 3 years, we would love to see your application. While experience definitely scores points, so does enthusiasm!
- How do I apply?
- Fill out the attached application and send it along with your resume to keren@uchicago.edu by March 1. Alternatively, you may fill out a paper application and turn it in to your VPC.
- Why should I apply?
- Well other than that you love WPYP and think we're a great program, applying for a leadership position is great experience for anyone interested in non-profit management, urban policy, community development, non-profit law, teaching, social services, public health...finance, accounting, interior design, east asian studies, philosophy, chemical engineering, advertising... But seriously, some day you're going to graduate and you will need to either find a job or perpetuate your schooling somehow, and believe me, being a leader in WPYP can help!
